The Unitech PA690 combines durability and ergonomics with productivity and efficiency, making it an ideal rugged handheld solution for mobile workforces. Designed to perform under harsh conditions, the PA690 has a rugged enclosure that is able to resist water and dust (IP65 rating), as well as withstand multiple 5-foot drops to concrete. It also boasts a comprehensive wireless platform that includes high-speed 3.5G WAN, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS capabilities so mobile workers can easily access information and speed up their workflow while they are on the go.The Unitech PA690 is powered by a high-speed 806MHz Marvell processor and Windows Embedded Handheld 6.5 Professional and Classic operating systems to run demanding mobile applications. The PA690 has ample memory with 256MB of Mobile DDR SDRAM and 512MB of NaND Flash. It also features a micro-SD expansion slot, adding support for an additional 32GB of storage capacity for data-intensive applications.
The PA690 has a QWERTY keypad and a 3.8-inch backlit sunlight-readable, color, touchscreen display making it easy to input important information. Standard models include an auto-focus 5.0 megapixel camera with flash allowing users to take photos and video for proof of service applications, and a 1D laser scanner. An optional 2D imager scanner and high-frequency RFID reader are available as upgrades. An optional numeric keypad is also available.
