The GD400 fully rugged handheld from General Dynamics Itronix delivers flexibility, connectivity, and enhanced performance. The GD400 can stand up to tough indoor environments, as well as the dirt and weather of field environments. It is rated IP54 for dust and water resistance. The GD400 is an ideal rugged handheld for mobile professionals working in mobile field service, public safety, transportation, public services, and logistics applications.The GD400 has a 3.7-inch sunlight readable display with integrated touchscreen that can be operated by finger touch or passive stylus. The GD400 rugged handheld is powered by an 800MHz ARM® Cortex™ A8 processor, 256MB SDRAM, and 2GB on-board flash. It runs the industry-proven Windows® Embedded Handheld 6.5 operating system and has a battery life of up to 8 hours.
The GD400 keeps you connected across a spectrum of wireless networks with up to four integrated wireless technologies in the same handheld device. In regions with limited WWAN service, high-bandwidth integrated 802.11a/b/g/n WLAN connectivity enables both data and voice connectivity. Integrated Bluetooth v2.0 EDR Radio provides ways to communicate using the GD400 for field data transfer, and integrated GPS allows for a broader range of satellite coverage in the field.
The GD400 features built-in functionality tools to increase worker productivity including a 3.2 megapixel digital camera with flash and video capability and an optional 1D/2D omni-directional imager for tracking, delivery, and inventory reconciliation, as well as a wide range of other scanning applications. Smart sensors on the GD400 include a digital compass, gyroscope, accelerometer, and proximity sensors.
