The GD Itronix GD8200 is a fully rugged notebook that is small and lightweight. It is designed for the toughest users and tested to military extremes, including temperature extremes, humidity, vibration, dust, drops, and spills. It is an ideal rugged notebook for military personnel, first responders, and field service technicians in industries such as utilities, telecommunications, and cable. The GD8200 provides the dependability, power, connectivity, and security necessary to provide the highest performance and endurance in extreme environments.The General Dynamics Itronix GD8200 rugged notebook is powered by an Intel® Core i7 mobile processor to maximize computational power, while optimizing weight and power consumption. It features a 500GB shock-mounted hard drive with a heater, 2GB DDRIII RAM, and a 13.3-inch DynaVue® II sunlight-readable display with a multi-touch touchscreen that provides advanced functionality such as pinch to zoom.
The GD8200 offers a full set of embedded wireless technologies to give mobile users advanced wireless connectivity and increased productivity. Options include Wi-Fi 802.11a/b/g/n, high power wireless LAN, Bluetooth®, dedicated GPS, and 4G and 3G mobile broadband technologies. Security features on the GD8200 include a Trusted Platform Module (TPM) 1.2 security chip, removable hard drive, and security lock slot to protect your valuable information. Optional security features include an integrated fingerprint reader, SmartCard reader, Intel vPro technology, Intel Anit-Theft Technology, and Computrace theft recovery and data protection.
The GD8200 continues to maintain a platform footprint that is consistent with its fully-rugged notebook predecessors, allowing customers to upgrade their rugged notebooks without replacing vehicle docks, and significantly lowering the total cost of ownership.
