The Trimble Ranger 3 Series rugged handheld has the mobile computing tools field service workers depend on. Standard integrated features on the Ranger include: an ultra-fast 800MHz processor, 256MB RAM, and 8GB of Flash storage for amazing speed and performance; a 30-hour long-life, hot-swappable battery that can work all day without being recharged; Wi-Fi for wireless connectivity; built-in Bluetooth® to establish cable-free connections to other Bluetooth devices that are within 10 meters, an integrated SiRFstarIII GPS receiver for mapping and navigation applications; a compass to capture bearing data; and an accelerometer to capture motion data. The Trimble Ranger also features a high-resolution, sunlight-visible VGA touchscreen display that presents graphics and maps in vivid detail. All models come with a Secure Digital (SD/SDHC) slot and USB host support, enabling even more storage.

The Trimble Ranger rugged handheld computer makes it simple to gather, save, and send out data with its many built-in capabilities. The integrated GPS receiver, compass and accelerometer facilitate new possibilities for location-aware software to combine location, bearing, and motion data. Optional Trimble Ranger 3 configurations include an include WWAN wireless connectivity, an integrated 1D laser barcode scanner to track your assets, and a 5MP digital camera with flash and geotagging mode to capture color images in the field with their precise locations stored.

The Ranger is a fully rugged handheld computer and built to withstand the demands of working outdoors. It meets demanding military standards (MIL-STD-810G) for drops, vibration, humidity, altitude, and temperature extremes. It also comes with an IP67 rating, meaning the Ranger handheld PC is completely sealed against dust, and can survive immersion in up to a meter of water for 30 minutes.
