Product Summary
The Getac S400 is one of the most durable semi-rugged notebook computers on the market. It features Getac's KryptoShell™ body which allows the S400 to meet or exceed MIL-STD-810G standards for temperature, shock, vibration, and drops from up to 2.5 feet.The Getac S400 is powered by an Intel® Core™ i3-380M 2.53GHz processor, with an option to upgrade to the Intel® Core™ i5-560M 2.66GHz processor for even greater speed and performance when using processor-intensive applications. It comes with 4GB DDR3 RAM (expandable to 8GB) and a 320GB shock mounted hard disk drive standard.
The S400 notebook features a 14 inch wide-screen, sunlight-readable display, which can be upgraded to a 700 NIT display with glove-friendly multi-touch technology. Getac's glove-friendly multi-touch display technology uses special software that recognizes multiple simultaneous touch points, allowing users to carry out complex operations via the touch panel display with simple gestures or using more than one finger at a time.
The S400 semi-rugged notebook comes standard with water-resistant mechanical membrane keyboard with an option to upgrade to a backlit keyboard, an integrated webcam, and a Super Multi DVD drive. Connectivity features of the S400 include 802.11a/b/g/n wireless LAN. Getac also offers integrated options for the S400 rugged notebook, including Bluetooth®, Gobi™ 2000 3G for multi-carrier wireless use, and a GPS receiver and antenna.
