The Duros Rugged Tablet PC by Roper Mobile is a fourth generation, powerful Windows XP-based tablet PC that is designed for the user battling harsh environments. The Duros Rugged Tablet PC is sealed to IP-65 levels for dust and water ingress and tested to MIL STD 810F for vibration, functional shock, high and low temperatures and drops.Equipped with an 8.4-inch brilliant sunlight viewable, SVGA resistive touch screen and an AMD Geode™ LX 800 Processor or Intel Celeron M 1.0 GHz, the Duros Rugged Tablet PC packs up to 1 GB memory and up to 120GB storage (up to 64GB solid state drive). Its hot swappable battery feature diminishes downtime and provides continuous battery life. The Duros Rugged Tablet PC can be equipped with: Wi-Fi, GSM, EDGE, GPS, Bluetooth, GPRS and UMTS.
Unlike a laptop, the Duros is designed to be carried with you. Ergonomically, the Duros is evenly balanced and has a multi-directional handgrip/wrist strap as well as a variety of docking mounts. The vehicle mount transforms the Duros into an onboard communication center.
