The Toughbook 74 (also known as the CF-74) is Panasonic's most rugged laptop in the semi-rugged notebook class. It is one step down from the fully-rugged notebook family and can be mounted in a vehicle or used out in the field. The Toughbook 74 is classified as semi-rugged since it is not fully sealed against the outdoor elements. The Panasonic Toughbook 74 is unique in the semi-rugged category as it comes standard with an outdoor viewable display that is also a touchscreen. This semi-rugged laptop is perfect if you need something a little more durable than the average notebook, but do not plan on computing in a downpour or a raging dust storm any time soon. The outdoor viewable screen allows you to use the Panasonic Toughbook 74 outdoors in bright sunlight and still be able to view your screen. The touchscreen allows for easy, one-handed screen navigation even while in a vehicle.
