The DAP CE3240B fully-rugged handheld computer performs reliably in extreme temperatures and harsh working environments. This rugged handheld has been designed to support mission-critical access control, law enforcement, and ID-management applications. The CE3240B rugged handheld can be configured to read all pertinent identification and credential formats including CAC, FRAC and TWIC cards, driver's licenses, passports, and major corporate identification standards. Its 500-dpi fingerprint reader provides biometric authentication for even greater security.Weighing less than a pound, the DAP CE3240B provides powerful and portable computing in a featherweight enclosure. The system features a 3.5" QVGA TFT transflective display which is indoor and outdoor readable. This rugged handheld is powered by a high performance 520MHz Intel® XScale PXA270 RISC processor. Ample memory is provided in the form of a 128MB module of built in RAM coupled with a 128MB module of NAND flash for Windows® CE. Easy input is provided through an ergonomic 22-key keypad with key grouping functionality that allows users to speed up data entry. The keypad also features two trigger keys for quick access to frequently used functions.
The CE3240B's modular architecture enables you to configure this rugged handheld computer to meet your exact requirements, while still allowing upgrades as new technologies become available. EndCap options are numerous, including a smart card reader (contact/contactless), a universal imager providing a 3MP camera, video, 1D/2D barcode reading, and OCR capabilities in a single module; magnetic stripe reader, fingerprint reader, and others. Bluetooth®, WLAN, and WWAN are offered for establishing connected solutions.
