The Duo-Touch II fully-rugged tablet PC from General Dynamics Itronix combines the functionality of a touchscreen computer (finger touch input) with a digitizer computer (stylus pen input) into one display. The Duo-Touch II rugged tablet PC is also unique because it has a sunlight viewable DynaVue® display. DynaVue touchscreen display technology provides better outdoor viewability than 1,000 NIT alternatives without sacrificing battery life or processing performance. DynaVue is also the only PC touchscreen display technology which meets MIL-STD 3009, the U.S. military's high-ambient light viewability specification for the primary flight displays and mission avionics controls displays for aircraft.Weighing just 4.1lbs, the GD Itronix Duo-Touch II is lightweight and ergonomic, enabling one-handed operation. The Duo-Touch II is also fully rugged (MIL-STD-810F, IP54) which means it has standard rugged computer features such as a magnesium alloy casing, a shock mounted hard drive and most importantly fully-sealed ports to protect your Duo-Touch II rugged tablet PC from outside elements such as dust, rain and moisture.
Some popular upgrades to the Duo-Touch II base model include mobile broadband wireless for use with Verizon, AT&T and Sprint wireless cards, integrated GPS, fingerprint scanner, office and vehicle docking solutions as well as several carrying strap options.
